As National Fire Prevention Week came to a close, members of BFC held the Annual Open House. Our apparatus was placed on display while members of the Reading Dive Team, Berks County Sheriff’s Office, Exeter Twp Fire Company, Monarch Fire Company and PennSTAR 4 answered questions and provided education materials. As in year’s past, the Allentown Fire Department provided their Child’s Safety House, where children were taught how to react if there was a fire in their home. In addition to the open house, members visited many area schools through out the week and provided education on fire prevention. The Officers would like to thank all of the members that have helped throughout the week with the different events. Additionally, the Officers would to thank Lieutenant Barry Katzin for putting together our 2009 Fire Prevention schedule and leading all of the events. We look forward to 2010’s National Fire Prevention Week.
